Bishopsgate has further strengthened its deal making team with the appointment of Ed Wesson as Corporate Finance Manager and the promotion of James McBain Allan to Director.
The appointments follow a record year as the boutique completed a number of high profile transactions most notably the acquisition of Bullitt Group and the sale of Virgin Experience Days to Inflexion Private Equity for £40m.
Ed Wesson joins from Smith Cooper Corporate Finance, having spent the past three and a half years working in the lead advisory team in Nottingham. He is experienced in working with entrepreneurs and owner managers across a wide range of sectors in the mid-market.
He said: “I’m delighted to have joined Bishopsgate. I was attracted by their unique and entrepreneurial approach to deal-making which has seen them achieve some truly exceptional outcomes for their clients and I’m looking forward to being a part of that.”
James McBain Allan, Director at Bishopsgate added: “Ed is a talented and passionate individual and both Simon and I look forward to working with him for many years to come as we look to continue to grow within local and national corporate finance markets.”
